How did you first get involved with Blitz?

Having wanted to do CrossFit for some years and putting it off for a multitude of reasons, I decided to bite the bullet and find somewhere local having moved to the area and growing tired of working out alone in commercial gyms.

What is your most memorable CrossFit moment so far?

Finishing the team workout at the first Blitz Social was a real highlight. The dread of turning over a card to find out the number of reps you had to do, had us all on tenterhooks but we pulled through.

What is your favourite movement/workout?

Learning to rope climb was fun! ‘Midline Climb’ was right up my street: Deadlift, Pull Ups and V-Ups, what’s not to love!?!

What is your least favourite movement/workout?

Wall Balls Wall Balls Wall Balls so 150 of them for ‘Karen’ was really tough and very much a mental challenge rather than a physical one. Can’t wait to do it again and approach it differently!

Name a CrossFit goal you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

Start putting the Blitz Socials in my diary before anything else!!

What do you do when you’re not training at Blitz?

I am currently planning a wedding!! (or at least trying to help). We moved to St. Margarets just under a year ago so still ticking off a visit to every local pub and restaurant.

What is your favourite part of being a Blitz member?

I joined Blitz for some accountability in my fitness but I have been completely blown away by the people. The coaches are absolutely fantastic and everyone at Blitz truly wants you to succeed. Egos are left at the door and there is a real sense everyone is rooting for you, especially when you are on the wall ball struggle bus. The improvement in my fitness is just a bonus.

If you could give a new member one piece of advice what would it be?

Get to every CF101 class you can! The classes are tailored to new joiners and helped me build confidence in the different CrossFit movements. The sessions are smaller so the coaches take you through the mechanics before incorporating it into a workout.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself….

My biggest sporting achievement is a gold medal in the Leinster Irish Dancing Championships…aged 8.
