How did you first get involved with Blitz?

I first got involved with Blitz when a mutual member of both Patch and Blitz introduced me to Tim. As soon as I could, I signed up and did my first Blitz workout with Graeme and was hooked. Having previously done CrossFit in Canada, I was thrilled to find a box here in Twickenham with similar community values and high-quality coaches.

What is your most memorable CrossFit moment so far?

My first Friday Night Social stands out. It was a fun workout with a great community vibe that pushed me to go heavier on the weights. Afterward, hanging out with everyone for drinks was a nice way to unwind and get to know people better.

What is your favourite movement/workout?

Controversial, but I enjoy any workout that involves a machine or leg exercises—I can power through those quickly and find them satisfying.

What is your least favourite movement/workout?

My least favourite movement is probably overhead squats. They challenge my mobility and stability, but I know they’re good for me, so I’m working on improving.

Name a CrossFit goal you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

By the end of the year, I’m would like to improve my upper body strength to be able to do pull-ups again.

What do you do when you’re not training at Blitz?

Outside of Blitz, I enjoy hiking, long walks, and practicing yoga. I run a hiking group, so I have my own little community that I spend a lot of time with outdoors. Most weekends, I’m out walking, and I often go on long weekends away for hiking trips.

What is your favourite part of being a Blitz member?

I really appreciate the community and the support from both the members and the coaches. The coaches are top-notch, friendly, and always encouraging, which makes every workout something I look forward to.

If you could give a new member one piece of advice what would it be?

Get involved—go to the socials and embrace the community element. It helps with accountability and really enhances your experience at the box. You’ll make great friends and feel even more motivated.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself….

I used to train and competitively ride horses right up until I moved to the UK over two years ago—and I still own a young horse named Presley back in Canada!
