How did you first get involved with Blitz?

Before joining Blitz I used to do the odd gym class and triathlon but was getting bored doing the same thing all the time. So before my wedding I decided to take on a new challenge and CrossFit had just come onto my radar. I ended up googling the closest gym and 5 years later I’m still hooked and enjoying it as much as I did when I first joined.

What is your most memorable CrossFit moment so far?

It has to be taking part in the 24 hour memorial WOD.

The energy and atmosphere in the gym especially for the final WOD on the Sunday was unbelievable and I think speaks mountains to the community at Blitz.

What is your favourite movement/workout?

Love a power clean and also recently after attending a few more barbell sessions have started to not actively hate snatches, which I used to try and avoid at all costs!

For workouts I like a longer chipper or a Saturday partner WOD so I can have fun being pushed along by Laura!

What is your least favourite movement/workout?

One word…..SQUATS.

For a workout it’s anything that’s a sprint, moving quickly is not my forte!

Name a CrossFit goal you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

I would love love love to crack chest to bar pull-ups.

What do you do when you’re not training at Blitz?

I have a little cockapoo called Winnie so I love going on long walks which inevitably always end up at a pub.

What is your favourite part of being a Blitz member?

It definitely has to be the amazing friends I’ve made, and making the 5:30pm classes a regular part of my week.

If you could give a new member one piece of advice what would it be?

Get stuck in, don’t compare yourself to others… but remember peer pressure does sometimes bring out the best in you!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself….

When I was younger I evented competitively at a national level. I am also a Qualified ski instructor.
